Occasionally blades break during surgery. When this happens we respond with a full manufacturer’s investigation and report back to the customer.

The majority of broken blades are a result of “metal on metal” fatigue. If a blade repeatedly hits metal - often knee jigs, pins or other instrumentation - the teeth will likely break off. In more extreme examples the metal fatigue will travel along the blade and snap off at the hub fitment.

There isn’t a blade available that cuts metal.
